"Fando y Lis", "El Topo" and "The Holy Mountain" are often grouped together as "cult classics" (and rightly so) because they were made in that period of the late 60`s and early 70`s when so much cultish type stuff was being produced however a lot of people sometimes conveniently forget about "Santa Sangre" simply because it was made much later in the late 80`s which is strange because i think its easily as weird, bizarre and surreal as any of the other 3 (perhaps even more so with regards to certain scenes and sequences).
ReplyDeleteDude! Thanksgiving with Holy Mountain is an awesome idea - I was thinking of doing INTO THE VOID, which is on IFC pay per view.. I imagine it's worth it on the right kind of mood altar. What a perfect holiday to lose your mind, with three days afterwards to recover before having to go back to work!
